IJEDS is an independent, open access journal. It welcomes empirical studies, systematic reviews, policy analyses and theoretical work from every region, with particular interest in evidence from low- and middle-income countries.

Author Guidelines
Read these before you submit. Manuscripts that do not follow them may be returned for correction.
Article types and length
- Original research: 6,000 to 9,000 words
- Systematic review: up to 10,000 words
- Policy analysis: 4,000 to 6,000 words
- Book review: up to 1,500 words
Preparing your manuscript
Submit a Word (.doc, .docx) or PDF file. Use 12 pt Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing and numbered pages. Include an abstract of up to 250 words and 4 to 6 keywords.
Anonymising for double-blind review
Remove author names, affiliations and acknowledgements from the manuscript and file properties. Refer to your own earlier work in the third person. Provide author details only in the submission form.
References
Use APA 7th edition. Include a DOI for every reference that has one.
Publication ethics
The journal follows COPE guidelines. Work must be original and not under review elsewhere. All authors must have contributed and approved the final text. Declare conflicts of interest and funding. Studies with human participants need ethics approval. If you used AI tools in writing or analysis, say so in the methods or acknowledgements. All submissions are screened for plagiarism.
Fees and copyright
There is no submission or publication fee. Authors keep copyright, and articles are published under CC BY 4.0.
